The Coffing JLC2016 1-Ton Electric Chain Hoist is used for heavy-duty overhead lifting, lowering, and holding of heavy loads in industrial, mechanical, and commercial work environments. Because it can effortlessly lift up to 2,000 pounds (1 ton) at a controlled speed of 16 feet per minute, it is primarily used to perform tasks that are dangerous or physically impossible for manual labor.

• Stationary Use: It is commonly hung from a fixed structural I-beam using a top hook or rigid mount to lift loads up and down vertically in one specific spot
• Mobile Use: It is frequently attached to a trolley (a wheel assembly that rides along the bottom flange of a crane or structural beam). This allows the hoist to lift a heavy object and then push or roll it horizontally across a workshop floor
