A Tin Tie Applicator is an automated packaging machine used to apply resealable, plastic-covered metal strips (called "tin ties") to the tops of flexible bags. This equipment is standard in commercial packaging lines to create reclosable bags for dry goods.

How the Machine Works:

• Bag Intake: Filled and often pre-sealed bags (such as flat-bottom or gusseted paper/poly bags) travel down a conveyor and enter the applicator
• Adhesive Application: The machine dispenses a line of hot-melt adhesive along the top face of the bag
• Tie Placement: It automatically measures, cuts a length of tin-tie strip from a continuous bulk spool, and presses it securely onto the fresh adhesive
• Folding & Finishing: The machine single- or double-folds the bag top downward. It then uses automated mechanical arms to bend the extended overhanging tabs tightly around the sides of the bag fold to lock the package closed
