The FlexPak FPFL201413-VAC is primarily used for seal integrity testing and leak detection industrial packaging. It is a quality assurance tool that ensures packages are hermetically sealed before they leave the manufacturing facility.

• Chamber Dimensions: The unit features a 20 x 14 x 13 inch (510 x 355 x 330 mm) transparent vacuum tank
• Maximum Package Size: Designed to accommodate packages up to 19 x 13 x 10 inches (480 x 330 x 255 mm)
• Vacuum Generation: Can be operated using compressed air (75 psig) for a vacuum range of 0–27 inHg or an optional electric vacuum pump for 0–25 inHg
• Testing Method: Packages are submersed in the tank; a leak is identified by air or gas bubbles escaping the package, with a complete test typically taking less than 30 seconds
• Identifying Leak Locations: By submerging a package in the water-filled vacuum chamber, operators can visually identify the exact source of a leak (such as a faulty seal or substrate defect) by watching for bubble emissions
• Altitude Simulations: It can simulate the pressure changes a package experiences during air transit or truck transport through high-altitude mountain ranges to ensure the seals won't burst under those conditions
• Dry Chamber Testing: For packages where water immersion is not ideal (like rigid containers filled with liquid), it can be used without water to detect leaks through other visual or pressure-based methods
