The Air Science Purair LF Series Hood is a laminar flow cabinet, not a traditional fume hood vent, designed to protect equipment and materials within the work zone from particulate contamination. It achieves this by using high-efficiency ULPA filters to create a sterile, particle-free environment. 

Specs:

• Airflow Configuration: Available in both horizontal and vertical airflow configurations to suit various applications.
• Horizontal Flow: Air moves from the back of the unit, through the filter, and across the work surface before exiting the front. Ideal for smaller items as large equipment can cause turbulence.
• Vertical Flow: Air moves from the top, through the filter, and down onto the work surface, exiting via perforations at the front/rear. Better for accommodating larger equipment.
• Filtration: All models use high-efficiency ULPA filters (99.999% efficient at particle sizes between 0.1 to 0.3 µm) to achieve ISO Class 4 or better air cleanliness. A disposable polyester pre-filter is also included to trap larger particles and extend the main filter's life.
• Primary Uses: Pharmaceutical and Clinical Applications, Biological Research, Industrial and Technical Assembly, and Specialized Services.
