The Gordon PC1000 Proxagard system is a capacitive presence-sensing safety device used for machine guarding in industrial environments. It is designed to create an electromagnetic field around a machine's point of operation and initiate a machine stop if a person or object enters this field. 

Key Features and Specifications:

• Technology: microprocessor-based captive (RF) sensing system
• Components: consists of a control unit, coupler, an application-specific sensing antenna
• Antenna Flexibility: can be customed designed from a standard metal rod, pipe or tubing to fit the machines specific configurations, allowing lengths up to 150 linear feet (45m)
• Operation: features automatic tuning and sensitivity adjustments which can also be set manually via keyboard with an access/key lock for security
• Safety Features: includes a continuous system self-check circuitry, enhanced relay protection (including welded contact detection) and a separate adjustable warning output to alert personnel before a full machine stop occurs
• Reaction Time: system reaction time is 25 milliseconds
